Just under 36% of children given first jab, 66% of adults boosted

Some 91.5% of teenagers have completed their vaccination.

A total of 1,272,121 children or 35.8% of those aged five to 11 had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow website, a total of 2,845,415 teenagers or 91.5% of those aged 12 to 17 have completed their vaccination while 2,943,210 or 94.6% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

In terms of adults, a total of 15,530,830 individuals or 66% have received a Covid-19 booster dose while 22,945,101 individuals or 97.5% have been fully vaccinated.

A total of 23,221,040 individuals or 98.7% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

Yesterday, a total of 28,377 vaccine doses were administered, with 5,645 as first doses, 1,357 as second shots and 21,375 as booster jabs.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,546,897.
