Over 34% of children given first vaccine jab, 65.4% of adults boosted

Some 91.3% of teenagers have completed their vaccination.

A total of 1,209,694 children or 34.1% of those aged five to 11 had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow website, a total of 2,840,296 teenagers or 91.3% of those aged 12 to 17 have completed their vaccination.

Meanwhile, 2,939,622 or 94.5% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

A total of 15,393,296 adults or 65.4% have received a Covid-19 booster dose while 22,939,552 or 97.5% have been fully vaccinated.

A total of 23,215,558 individuals or 98.7% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

Yesterday, a total of 47,773 vaccine doses were administered, with 12,788 as first doses, 1,927 as second shots and 33,058 as booster jabs.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,328,203.
