Daily cases top 33,200 in new high as another 78 deaths logged

There are now 305,010 active cases, of which 2.8% have been hospitalised.

Another 33,209 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 3,561,766.

There were 26,352 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 3,223,650.

There are now 305,010 active cases, of which 292,696 or 96.0% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 3,442 (1.1%) are at quarantine centres while 8,524 (2.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 348 are in ICU with 211 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 58.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 39.6%.

Another 78 deaths were reported, including 22 who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 33,106.
