New cases top 19,000 with 113 severe infections

Another 19,090 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 2,975,422.

Another 5,712 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 2,835,464.

Meanwhile 158 are in the ICU, including 86 confirmed Covid-19 patients.

A total of 78 are in need of respiratory assistance including 35 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Of the 19,090 cases reported today, 113 (0.59%) are in Category Three and above. The remaining 18,977 (99.41%) are in Category One and Two.

A total of 4,898 (25.66%) are in Category One, 14,079 (73.75%) in Category Two, 79 (0.41%) in Category Three, 28 (0.15%) in Category Four and six (0.03%) in Category Five.
