New cases creep past 5,500

Another 5,522 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 2,855,930.

Another 3,285 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 2,773,948.

Meanwhile 127 are in the ICU, including 102 confirmed Covid-19 patients.

A total of 70 are in need of respiratory assistance including 48 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Of the 5,522 cases reported today, 39 (0.7%) are in Category Three and above. The remaining 5,483 (99.3%) are in Category One and Two.
