Nearly 50% of adults given booster dose as total jabs top 63 million

Meanwhile, 10 more Covid-related deaths have been reported.

A total of 199,251 adults received a Covid-19 booster dose yesterday, bringing the cumulative number of booster jabs administered in the country to 11,531,403 or 49.3% of the adult population.

According to the CovidNow portal, a total of 22,921,716 or 97.9% of adults have completed their vaccination while 23,199,172 individuals or 99.1% have received at least one dose.

In terms of teenagers, a total of 2,785,992 individuals or 88.5% have completed their vaccination while 2,866,545 or 91.1% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

A total of 203,613 vaccine doses were administered yesterday, including 1,660 first doses and 2,702 second jabs, bringing the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 63,100,577.

According to the health ministry’s Github portal, 10 Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday with three in Selangor, two each in Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur and one each in Johor, Perak and Sarawak.
