Malaysia just 2.3% away from full adult vaccination

More than 7.3 million booster jabs have been given so far.

A total of 22,876,224 individuals or 97.7% of adults had completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday, with just 2.3 percentage points to go to achieving a 100% rate.

According to the CovidNow portal, 23,162,767 individuals or 98.9% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

In terms of adolescents, a total of 2,763,787 individuals or 87.8% have completed their vaccination while 2,854,126 or 90.7% have received at least one dose.

A total of 252,817 vaccine doses were administered yesterday, with 2,898 as first doses, 4,549 as second shots and 245,370 as booster jabs.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses given under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 58,812,436, including 7,356,445 booster jabs.
