29 reported deaths take Covid toll to 30,908

Terengganu had the most reported deaths at five.

Another 29 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 13, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,908.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, eight of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Terengganu had the highest number of reported deaths at five or 17.2%.

Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur recorded four each; Kelantan, Sabah, Sarawak and Selangor three each; and Kedah, Pahang, Perlis and Penang one each.

According to the CovidNow portal, as of Dec 13, 61.2% of those who died in the past six months were unvaccinated, 22.7% were partially vaccinated and 16.1% were fully vaccinated.

A total of 3,504 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,695,143.

As of yesterday, there were 57,926 active Covid-19 cases reported and 4,401 recoveries.
