41 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,787

Selangor had the most reported deaths at six.

Another 41 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 9, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,787.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, six or 14.6% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Selangor had the highest number of reported deaths at six or 14.6% followed by Perak and Sarawak at five or 12.2%.

Johor, Kelantan, and Penang reported four deaths each while Kedah, Sabah and Terengganu reported three deaths each.

Melaka, Pahang, Perlis and Kuala Lumpur reported one death each.

No deaths were reported in Negeri Sembilan, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 5,446 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,678,465.

As of yesterday, there were 60,856 active Covid-19 cases reported and 5,427 recoveries.
