38 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,652

Of these, eight were brought-in-dead cases.

Another 38 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 6, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,652.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, eight or 21% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Selangor had the highest number of reported deaths at six or 15.8% followed by Perak at five or 13.2%.

Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur reported four deaths each while Pahang and Sabah reported three deaths each.

Melaka reported two deaths while Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak reported one death each.

No deaths were reported in Perlis, Penang, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 4,262 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,663,034.

As of yesterday, there were 60,329 active Covid-19 cases reported and 5,894 recoveries.
