49 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,474

Selangor records the most at 12.

Another 49 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 1, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,474.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, 12 or 24.5% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Selangor had the highest number of reported deaths at 12 or 24.5%.

Perak reported eight deaths, Sabah seven and Kelantan five.

Johor and Sarawak reported four deaths each; Kedah and Negeri Sembilan reported two deaths each; while Melaka, Pahang, Penang, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur reported one death each.

No deaths were reported in Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 5,439 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,638,221.

As of yesterday, there were 63,740 active Covid-19 cases reported and 6,803 recoveries.
