40 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,280

Another 40 Covid-related deaths were reported on Nov 27, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,280.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, eight or 20% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Perak had the highest number of reported deaths at six or 15% followed by Kelantan, Selangor and Terengganu at five or 12.5% each.

Johor, Pahang and Penang reported three deaths each while Sabah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur reported two deaths each.

Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Perlis reported one death each while no deaths were reported in Putrajaya and Labuan.

A total of 5,097 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,619,577.

As of yesterday, there were 67,252 active Covid-19 cases reported and 5,352 recoveries.
