48 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,195

Of these, 10 or 20.8% were brought-in-dead cases.

Another 48 Covid-related deaths were reported on Nov 25, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,195.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, 10 or 20.8% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Kelantan and Terengganu had the highest number of reported deaths at eight or 16.7% each.

This was followed by Sarawak and Perak which reported six deaths or 12.5% each.

Selangor reported five deaths, Sabah four deaths and Pahang three deaths, while Penang and Kedah reported two deaths each.

Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur reported one death each while no deaths were reported in Putrajaya, Labuan and Perlis.

According to the CovidNow website, the highest incidence of deaths over the past two weeks occurred in Terengganu, Kelantan and Sarawak.

As of yesterday, Melaka had the highest usage of hospital beds meant for Covid-19 patients with 104.6% bed utilisation.

A total of 6,144 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,608,979.

As of yesterday, there were 68,755 active Covid-19 cases reported and 6,602 recoveries.
