37 reported Covid deaths push toll to 30,147

Of these, nine were brought-in-dead cases.

A total of 37 Covid-related deaths were reported on Nov 24, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,147.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, nine or 24.3% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Terengganu had the highest number of reported deaths at seven or 18.9%, followed by Sabah and Negeri Sembilan at five deaths each.

Selangor and Kelantan reported four deaths each; Johor and Perak reported three deaths each; Kedah and Pahang reported two deaths each while Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur reported one death each.

No deaths were reported in Melaka, Perlis, Penang, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 5,755 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,602,835. As of yesterday, there were 69,261 active Covid-19 cases reported and 5,082 recoveries.

Eight more new clusters were reported, taking the total number of active clusters to 234.
