Daily cases jump past 6,200

Another 6,243 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 2,522,498.

Another 5,068 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 2,430,122.

Meanwhile 543 are in the ICU, including 504 confirmed Covid-19 patients.

A total of 279 are in need of respiratory assistance including 196 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Of the 6,243 cases reported today, 106 (1.7%) are in Category Three and above. The remaining6,137 (98.3%) are in Category One and Two.
