New cases drop below 6,000

Another 5,854 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 2,466,663.

Another 6,715 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 2,368,634.

Meanwhile 570 are in the ICU, including 503 confirmed Covid-19 patients.

A total of 293 are in need of respiratory assistance including 216 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Of the 5,854 cases reported today, 79 (1.3%) are in Category Three and above. The remaining 5,775 (98.7%) are in Category One and Two.
