Lahad Datu MP Mohamaddin Ketapi today announced that he had quit Warisan, becoming an independent representative in the Dewan Rakyat.

Mohamaddin, the former tourism, arts and culture minister, is the second Warisan leader to have left the party this month following the departure of Sindumin assemblyman Yusof Yacob.

His move leaves Warisan two seats down as he is also the assemblyman for Segama.

Warisan won 23 seats in the state election last year.

It is now left with 19, following the departures of Mohamaddin and Yusof.

Bugaya assemblyman Manis Muka Mohd Darah died in November last year and Sebatik assemblyman Hassan A Gani Pg Amir quit the party in February.
