Another drop takes new cases to 17,500

Another 17,577 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 2,067,327.

Sarawak recorded 3,480 cases, Selangor 2,646, Johor 2,334, Perak 1,596, Sabah 1,533, Penang 1,462 and Kedah 1,173.

Kelantan recorded 869 cases, Pahang 832, Terengganu 719, Kuala Lumpur 366, Melaka 287 and Negeri Sembilan 198.

Perlis recorded 41 cases, Putrajaya 31 and Labuan 10.

Another 22,970 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,823,248.

Meanwhile 1,223 are in the ICU, including 891 confirmed Covid-19 patients.

A total of 720 are in need of respiratory assistance including 410 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
