New cases continue to hover over 19,000

Another 19,307 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,919,774.

Sarawak recorded 3,118 cases, Selangor 2,700, Sabah 2,298, Penang 2,243, Johor 2,032, Kelantan 1,438, Kedah 1,355 and Perak 1,341.

Terengganu recorded 910 cases, Pahang 661, Kuala Lumpur 513, Melaka 340, Negeri Sembilan 207 and Perlis 108.

Putrajaya recorded 28 cases and Labuan 15.

Active cases stand at 242,802 with 967 in the ICU and 464 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 24,855 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,657,486.

However, 323 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 19,486.
