Sarawak still in lead as new cases top 18,500

3,200 cases in Sarawak, 2,407 in Selangor.

Another 18,547 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,880,734.

Sarawak recorded 3,200 cases, Selangor 2,407, Johor 2,174, Sabah 2,107, Penang 1,776, Kedah 1,487, Kelantan 1,458 and Perak 1,197.

Pahang recorded 742 cases, Terengganu 645, Kuala Lumpur 631, Melaka 448 and Negeri Sembilan 229.

Putrajaya recorded 22 cases, Perlis 20 and Labuan four.

Active cases stand at 252,002 with 977 in the ICU and 447 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 18,902 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,609,930.

However, 311 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 18,802.
