47.8% of population, 66.7% of adults fully vaccinated

20,261,734 people or 62% of the population have received a first dose.

Some 47.8% of the country’s population or 15,606,818 individuals had completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday, according to the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee.

As of yesterday, 20,261,734 individuals or 62% had received a first dose, bringing the total number of vaccine doses dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 35,841,103.

A total of 66.7% of the adult population had completed both doses of vaccine compared to 65.9% on Thursday.

In terms of daily vaccination rate, 321,349 doses were administered yesterday, of which 177,518 were second doses and the remaining 143,831 first doses.
