282 deaths as daily cases cross 20,000 again

Just over 4,300 cases in Selangor.

Another 20,897 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,746,254.

Selangor recorded 4,371 cases, Sabah 2,594, Sarawak 2,285, Johor 2,159, Kedah 1,942, Penang 1,732, Kelantan 1,479, Perak 1,204 and Kuala Lumpur 1,003.

Pahang recorded 798 cases, Terengganu 608, Melaka 417 and Negeri Sembilan 215.

Perlis recorded 64 cases, Putrajaya 25 and Labuan one.

Active cases stand at 267,863 with 1,005 in the ICU and 464 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 18,465 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,461,727.

However, 282 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 16,664.
