Daily cases dip again to below 20,000

Just over 3,500 cases in Selangor.

Another 19,268 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,725,357.

Selangor recorded 3,567 cases, Sabah 2,310, Johor 2,265, Kedah 2,084, Sarawak 2,028, Penang 1,780, Kelantan 1,308 and Perak 1,144.

Pahang recorded 788 cases, Kuala Lumpur 672, Terengganu 544, Melaka 395 and Negeri Sembilan 269.

Perlis recorded 71 cases, Putrajaya 41 and Labuan two.

Active cases stand at 265,713 with 1,033 in the ICU and 476 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 21,257 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,443,262.

However, 295 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 16,382.
