Daily cases dip to 22,262

Just over 7,000 cases in Selangor, 2,600 in Sabah.

Another 22,262 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,535,286.

Selangor recorded 7,011 cases, Sabah 2,651, Sarawak 1,964, Kedah 1,880, Penang 1,459, Kuala Lumpur 1,220 and Kelantan 1,039.

Perak recorded 946 cases, Melaka 882, Pahang 664, Terengganu 495 and Negeri Sembilan 405.

Putrajaya recorded 41 cases, Perlis 38 and Labuan nine.

Active cases stand at 260,880 with 1,035 in the ICU and 513 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 18,576 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,260,470.

However, 223 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 13,936.
