Death toll crosses 13,000 as daily cases under 20,000 for second day

5,753 cases in Selangor, 2,103 in Sabah.

Another 19,631 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,444,270.

Selangor recorded 5,753 cases, Sabah 2,103, Kedah 1,863, Kuala Lumpur 1,765, Johor 1,309, Penang 1,275, Kelantan 1,268 and Perak 1,101.

Sarawak recorded 835 cases, Pahang 670, Melaka 623, Terengganu 498 and Negeri Sembilan 490.

Putrajaya recorded 41 cases and Perlis 37. No new cases were recorded in Labuan.

Active cases stand at 252,147 with 1,054 in the ICU and 525 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 16,468 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,179,046.

However, 293 more deaths were reported, including 44 who were brought in dead, pushing the virus toll to 13,077.
