274 deaths as daily cases drop to 19,740

Just over 5,700 in Selangor.

Another 19,740 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,424,639.

Selangor recorded 5,706 cases, Sabah 1,728, Kedah 1,592, Sarawak 1,566, Johor 1,510, Kuala Lumpur 1,360, Penang 1,251, Kelantan 1,227 and Melaka 1,120.

Perak recorded 938 cases, Terengganu 688, Pahang 646 and Negeri Sembilan 343.

Putrajaya recorded 43 cases, Perlis 20 and Labuan two.

Active cases stand at 249,277 with 1,047 in the ICU and 520 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 17,450 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,162,578.

However, 274 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 12,784.
