Daily cases still hover over 20,000

Another 20,546 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,404,899.

Selangor recorded 7,307 cases, Sabah 1,665, Kedah 1,596, Johor 1,508, Kuala Lumpur 1,442, Penang 1,111, Perak 1,069 and Kelantan 1,025.

Sarawak recorded 963 cases, Pahang 926, Negeri Sembilan 698, Melaka 631 and Terengganu 534.

Putrajaya recorded 47 cases, Perlis 21 and Labuan three.

Active cases stand at 247,261 with 1,059 in the ICU and 526 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 16,945 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,145,128.

However, 282 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 12,510.
