Daily cases dip to 20,670 as death toll tops 12,000

Another 20,670 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,384,353.
Selangor recorded 6,606 cases, Kuala Lumpur 2,028, Kedah 1,796, Sabah 1,752, Johor 1,425, Kelantan 1,370, Penang 1,251 and Perak 1,003.
Pahang recorded 794 cases, Negeri Sembilan 727, Sarawak 725, Terengganu 560 and Melaka 521.
Perlis recorded 61 cases and Putrajaya 51. No new cases were recorded in Labuan.
Active cases stand at 243,942 with 1,096 in the ICU and 540 in need of respiratory assistance.
Another 17,655 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,128,183.
However, 260 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 12,228.
