211 deaths as daily cases cross 20,000 again

Another 20,780 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,320,547.

Selangor recorded 6,921 cases, Kuala Lumpur 2,065, Johor 1,693, Sabah 1,514, Kedah 1,534, Penang 1,385, Kedah 1,284 and Negeri Sembilan 1,015.

Perak recorded 828 cases, Melaka 636, Sarawak 634, Terengganu 613 and Pahang 585.

Putrajaya recorded 41 cases, Perlis 29 and Labuan three.

Active cases stand at 233,358 with 1,053 in the ICU and 546 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 17,973 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 1,075,816.

However, 211 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 11,373.
