An MP who attended Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meetings at the Parliament last week has tested positive for Covid-19.

It is understood that two officers of the MP have also tested positive.

“The PAC member attended the sitting last week and even attended PAC proceedings between July 26 and 28,” a source told MalaysiaNow.

This follows the confirmation of more than 80 infections in Parliament during the recent special sitting which came to an abrupt halt on July 29 following a directive from health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said at least six of the cases in Parliament could be of the Delta variant based on PCR genotyping assay tests.
