15 arrested over party at KL condo

Police also found drugs, a loudspeaker and disco lights when they raided the condominium unit at 1am.

Fifteen people including a civil servant were detained for suspected involvement in a wild party at a luxury condominium, Jalan Ceylon Residences in Kuala Lumpur, early today despite the movement control under the National Recovery Plan.

Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the individuals arrested in the 1am raid comprised nine women and six men, all locals, aged between 17 and 45.

“During the raid, police found traces of drugs, a loudspeaker and disco lights. Eleven of them, comprising eight women and three men, tested positive for drugs,” he said in a statement today.

Zainal said the case is being investigated under Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 17 (1) of the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Regulations (Measures in Local Areas of Infection (National Recovery Plan) 2021 for engaging in social activities.

The individuals involved have been remanded for three days until Saturday.
