Daily vaccine jabs top 500,000 for 3 days running

The number of daily Covid-19 jabs administered in the country has exceeded 500,000 doses for three consecutive days with 552,701 given yesterday.

On Monday, 521,923 doses were dispensed nationwide while a record high of 553,871 doses were administered on Tuesday.

Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said of the total doses given out yesterday, 353,771 were first doses and 198,930 were second doses.

A cumulative total of 18,946,048 Covid-19 jabs have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, with 12,841,212 people having received a first shot and 6,104,836 their second.
