Another record for daily jabs takes cumulative total past 18 million

A total of 553,871 vaccine doses were administered nationwide under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme yesterday, the highest number of daily doses recorded so far, says Health Minister Dr Adham Baba.

He said 356,112 shots were administered as first doses and 197,759 to second-dose recipients.

The highest number of daily doses recorded before yesterday was on July 26, when 521,923 doses were administered.

A total of 18,393,347 doses of vaccine had been administered across the country as of yesterday.
