Whopping 17,045 cases take total infections past 1 million

Another 17,045 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,013,438.

Selangor recorded 8,500 cases, Kuala Lumpur 2,045, Kedah 1,216, Johor 950, Sabah 818, Perak 609, Penang 573, Negeri Sembilan 513, Pahang 424, Sarawak 407, Melaka 370, Terengganu 273 and Kelantan 266.

Putrajaya recorded 50 cases, Labuan 21 and Perlis 10.

Active cases stand at 160,903 with 970 in the ICU and 501 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 9,683 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 844,541.

However, 92 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 7,994.
