New cases jump to 12,366

Another 12,366 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 939,899.

Selangor recorded 5,524 cases, Kuala Lumpur 1,580, Negeri Sembilan 970, Johor 793, Kedah 701, Sabah 657, Penang 460, Sarawak 351, Melaka 309, Perak 295, Pahang 288, Terengganu 190 and Kelantan 179.

Putrajaya recorded 50 cases, Labuan 17 and Perlis two.

Active cases stand at 133,703 with 924 in the ICU and 448 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 7,567 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 798,955.

However, 93 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 7,241.
