New cases hover at 12,500 as total infections top 900,000

Another 12,528 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 905,851.

Selangor recorded 4,985 cases, Kuala Lumpur 1,740, Negeri Sembilan 1,280, Kedah 701, Sabah 647, Johor 625, Melaka 569, Perak 428, Penang 396, Sarawak 388, Pahang 317, Kelantan 211 and Terengganu 177.

Putrajaya recorded 41 cases, Labuan 22 and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 119,814 with 908 in the ICU and 425 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,629 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 779,171.

However, 138 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 6,866.
