Some 10,500 companies involving over 900,000 workers have registered for vaccination under Pikas so far.

Online registration is now available for vaccination slots under the Public-Private Partnership Covid-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (Pikas) for the manufacturing industry, the international trade and industry ministry (Miti) said today.

Those interested can register at https://pikas.miti.gov.my/.

In a statement, Miti urged companies that had previously sent their information through email to enter their company details in Pikas’ online system.

Deputy minister Lim Ban Hong said Pikas had been well received by the public and had helped boost the country’s Covid-19 vaccination rate.

“Pikas plays an important role in giving workers in the manufacturing sector the confidence to feel safe at the workplace,” he said.

“This programme is also a pragmatic measure to boost company productivity as we adjust to life during the pandemic.”

As of July 14, 10,522 companies involving 903,244 workers nationwide had registered for Pikas. Of these, 101,117 have received a first dose of vaccine.

There are a total of 19 Pikas vaccination centres in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Kedah, Penang and Terengganu.
