New cases top 11,000 for second day as another 118 deaths logged

There are now 101,359 active cases throughout the country.

Another 11,618 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 867,567.

Selangor recorded 5,051 cases, Kuala Lumpur 1,749, Negeri Sembilan 1,537, Melaka 526, Kedah 504, Pahang 400, Johor 396, Sarawak 289, Sabah 286, Kelantan 236, Penang 210, Terengganu 189 and Perak 164.

Putrajaya recorded 40 cases, Labuan 38 and Perlis three.

Active cases stand at 101,359 with 878 in the ICU and 432 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,377 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 759,705.

However, 118 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 6,503.
