New cases drop to 8,574 as 102 more deaths reported

Another 8,574 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 844,870.

Selangor recorded 4,308 cases, Negeri Sembilan 794, Kuala Lumpur 609, Kedah 415, Melaka 411, Johor 407, Pahang 314, Sabah 298, Sarawak 235, Penang 231, Perak 168, Terengganu 140 and Kelantan 133.

Labuan recorded 77 cases and Putrajaya 45.

Active cases stand at 91,272 with 964 in the ICU and 452 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,041 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 747,338.

However, 102 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 6,260.
