New cases over 9,000 for third day

More than 4,600 cases in Selangor, over 1,200 in Kuala Lumpur.

Another 9,105 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 836,296.

Selangor recorded 4,682 cases, Kuala Lumpur 1,247, Negeri Sembilan 541, Johor 392, Kedah 382, Pahang 300, Melaka 278, Sabah 271, Sarawak 270, Penang 243, Perak 207 and Kelantan 150.

Labuan recorded 54 cases, Putrajaya 49, Terengganu 38 and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 87,841 with 961 in the ICU and 455 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,194 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 742,297.

However, 91 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 6,158.
