6,387 new cases, over a third in Selangor

Another 6,387 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 785,039.

Selangor recorded 2,610 cases, Kuala Lumpur 819, Negeri Sembilan 523, Sarawak 424, Johor 324, Pahang 312, Kedah 273, Sabah 263, Perak 249, Melaka 206, Penang 157 and Kelantan 114.

Labuan recorded 71 cases, Putrajaya 25 and Terengganu 17.

Active cases stand at 69,447 with 923 in the ICU and 433 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 4,532 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 710,018.

However, 77 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 5,574.
