72 more deaths as daily cases dip to 5,911

Another 5,911 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 691,115.

Selangor recorded 2,111 cases, Negeri Sembilan 770, Sarawak 569, Johor 498, Kuala Lumpur 483, Perak 245, Kelantan 223, Kedah 204, Sabah 201, Labuan 185, Penang 167 and Melaka 134.

Terengganu recorded 62 cases, Pahang 56 and Putrajaya three.

Active cases stand at 64,523 with 886 in the ICU and 441 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,918 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 622,244.

However, 72 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 4,348.
