74 more deaths as new cases cross 6,000 again

Over 2,000 cases reported in Selangor, 870 in Negeri Sembilan and 816 in Kuala Lumpur.

Another 6,440 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 685,204.

Selangor recorded 2,095 cases, Negeri Sembilan 870, Kuala Lumpur 816, Johor 592, Sarawak 536, Perak 357, Melaka 223, Kelantan 200, Sabah 199, Kedah 159, Labuan 152 and Penang 122.

Pahang recorded 79 cases, Terengganu 32, Putrajaya six and Perlis two.

Active cases stand at 65,602 with 894 in the ICU and 451 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,861 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 615,326.

However, 74 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 4,276.
