Small rise in daily cases but still under 6,000

Another 5,566 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 627,652.

Selangor recorded 1,524 cases, Sarawak 707, Negeri Sembilan 505, Kuala Lumpur 466, Johor 456, Sabah 350, Melaka 314, Perak 225, Kelantan 204, Labuan 191, Penang 185, Pahang 157, Kedah 148 and Terengganu 106.

Putrajaya recorded 27 cases and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 82,797 with 903 in the ICU and 458 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,962 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 541,319.

However, 76 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 3,536.
