New cases fall to 6,241 as 87 more deaths recorded

Another 6,241 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 616,815.

Selangor recorded 2,178 cases, Sarawak 600, Johor 565, Negeri Sembilan 556, Kuala Lumpur 415, Sabah 305, Penang 271, Kelantan 270, Melaka 225, Labuan 212, Perak 174, Terengganu 158, Pahang 155 and Kedah 125.

Putrajaya recorded 30 cases and Perlis two.

Active cases stand at 86,628 with 890 in the ICU and 444 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,133 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 526,809.

However, 87 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 3,378.
