The government is considering an automatic registration system for vaccination to facilitate the people in signing up under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said today.

“I have also asked the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) to review the registration process for vaccination to make it easier, including the suggestion for the implementation of an automatic system to ensure that as many as possible are vaccinated,” he said in a speech marking 100 days since PICK was launched on Feb 24.

He added that he had instructed JKJAV to speed up the process for those who have already registered so that they are given appointment dates as soon as possible.

“I take note of the concern of many who have yet to receive an appointment date for vaccination,” he said.

Nearly 13 million people have registered through PICK for vaccination against Covid-19.

The government aims to inoculate 80% of the population by the end of the year.
