Selangor logs over 3,000 cases as daily infections cross 8,000 again

Daily death toll remains over 100 for the second day.

Another 8,209 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 595,374.

Selangor recorded 3,125 cases, Kuala Lumpur 801, Johor 752, Sarawak 594, Negeri Sembilan 576, Kelantan 414, Perak 384, Kedah 373, Melaka 322, Penang 303, Sabah 203, Pahang 135 and Terengganu 127.

Labuan recorded 62 cases, Putrajaya 33 and Perlis five.

Active cases stand at 83,331 with 880 in the ICU and 446 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 7,049 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 508,947.

However, 103 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 3,096.
