Record 126 deaths as over 7,700 new cases logged

More than 82,000 active cases with 878 in the ICU.

Another 7,703 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 587,165.

Selangor recorded 2,728 cases, Kuala Lumpur 701, Sarawak 588, Negeri Sembilan 586, Johor 554, Kelantan 541, Penang 407, Kedah 283, Sabah 254, Pahang 237, Perak and Terengganu 224 each, Melaka 209 and Labuan 159.

Perlis recorded seven cases and Putrajaya one.

Active cases stand at 82,274 with 878 in the ICU and 441 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,777 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 501,898.

However, 126 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 2,993.
