6,320 new cases take total past 500,000 mark

Another 6,320 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 505,115.

Selangor recorded 1,647 cases, Sarawak 749, Kuala Lumpur 654, Kelantan 613, Johor 477, Negeri Sembilan 396, Penang 359, Kedah 301, Perak 276, Pahang 227, Sabah 189, Terengganu 185 and Melaka 175.

Labuan recorded 36 cases and Perlis and Putrajaya 18 each.

Active cases stand at 53,682 with 652 in the ICU and 370 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 4,694 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 449,234.

However, 50 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 2,199.
