22 more deaths as 3,973 new cases logged

1,328 cases in Selangor, 512 in Sarawak.

Another 3,973 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 448,457.

Selangor recorded 1,328 cases followed by Sarawak (512), Kuala Lumpur (483), Johor (384), Kelantan (321), Penang (187), Kedah (174), Perak (140) and Negeri Sembilan (126).

Terengganu recorded 93 cases, Pahang 85, Melaka 79, Sabah 50, Putrajaya eight and Labuan three.

Active cases stand at 38,499 with 453 in the ICU and 224 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Haji Abdul Aziz (Klang, Selangor; 33 screened, seven positive)
2. Pauh Lima (Bachok and Kota Bharu, Kelantan; 50 screened, 30 positive)
3. Jalan Dato Setia (Johor Bahru, Johor; 203 screened, 17 positive)
4. Dah Penghulu (Kuala Muda, Kedah; 42 screened, 27 positive)
5. Jalan Utarid Lima (Petaling, Selangor; 367 screened, 64 positive)
6. Jalan Sepuluh Industri Miel (Hulu Langat, Petaling and Gombak in Selangor; 190 screened, 12 positive)
7. Jalan Serkam (Jasin, Melaka Tengah and Tangkak in Melaka and Johor; 157 screened, 20 positive)
8. Kota Warisan (Sepang, Selangor; 493 screened, 14 positive)
9. Jalan Lingkaran Ilmu (Kulai, Johor; 107 screened, 13 positive)
10. Jalan Mempelam (Kuala Langat, Selangor; 105 screened, 31 positive)
11. Bako Hilir (Kuching, Sarawak; 62 screened, 18 positive)
12. Banggol Gajah Mati (Pasir Mas, Kelantan; 60 screend, 28 positive)
13. Dah Amanjaya 2 (Kuala Muda, Sik, Yan and Kota Setar in Kedah; 102 screened, 28 positive)

There are currently 454 active clusters across the country.

Another 2,848 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 408,236.

However, 22 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,722.
